Wear History. Own the Myth.
Step into the age of the Germanic tribes with the Thorsberg Pants in Fenris Grey — a faithful reconstruction of one of the most significant textile finds in early medieval history.
The Story Behind the Pants
Discovered in the Thorsberg moor of northern Germany, these trousers are linked to a cult site of the god Donar/Thor, used by the Germanic Angles tribe between the 2nd and 4th century AD. The distinctive cut remained a hallmark of European men's legwear for centuries, appearing in the Passio Kiliani illustrations and among the Haithabu finds dating to the 11th century.
What Makes Them Authentic
-
Wool Felt Fabric: The Fenris model uses genuine wool felt, adding tactile authenticity that sets it apart from lesser reproductions.
-
Historically Accurate Cut: Replicates the characteristic early medieval pattern found across centuries of European archaeological evidence.
-
Perfect for Reenactment: An essential piece for any authentic Germanic or Viking kit — from living history events to LARP and theatrical use.
Note: The winingas (leg wrappings) shown in images are not included but are available for purchase separately.
